Privacy Policy

Connected Home Ledger ("the Service") is operated by Connected Home Outfitters LLC, a Texas company ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version: we never connect to your bank, we never ask for bank credentials, and we never sell your data. The financial information in your ledger is entered by you and used only to show you your own numbers.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Your name and email address, and a securely hashed password if you sign up with email. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier — never your Google password.
- Financial data you enter. Account names and balances, bills, income sources, transactions, investment holdings, and goals that you type into the Service. We do not link to financial institutions, and we never request or store bank login credentials.
- Payment information. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers; we store only your Stripe customer reference, plan, and billing status.
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (pages visited, approximate location, device type). We also keep standard server logs (IP address, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and analytics cookies as described above. We do not use advertising cookies.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service — your data is displayed back to you (and, if you enable Household Sharing, to household members you invite).
- To process subscription billing through Stripe.
- To send transactional email: verification, password reset, household invitations, and important account notices.
- To secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
3. What we never do
- We never sell or rent your personal or financial data to anyone.
- We never share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We never connect to your bank or other financial institutions.
4. Sharing within the Service
If you enable Household Sharing (Premium), members of your household can see data you mark as shared. If you join someone else's household, the household owner controls that household's shared view. Business Workspace data is visible only to users with access to that workspace.
5. Third-party services
We rely on a small number of processors to run the Service: Google (sign-in and analytics), Stripe (payments), and our email delivery provider (transactional email). Each receives only the information needed to perform its function.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual records at any time inside the app. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@connectedhomeledger.com and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.
7. Security
All traffic to the Service is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing. Access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your financial information with the care we'd want for our own.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify active users by email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect.
