Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Connected Home Ledger ("the Service"), operated by Connected Home Outfitters LLC, a Texas company ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Connected Home Ledger is a household financial tracking tool. You enter your own financial information — accounts, bills, income, transactions, investments, and goals — and the Service organizes and displays it. The Service does not connect to financial institutions, move money, or execute transactions.

2. Not financial advice

The Service provides organizational tools and calculations based on data you enter. Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Forecasts, projections, and investment prices are informational estimates and may be inaccurate or delayed. Consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration information.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for activity under your account.
• One person per account; household members join through Household Sharing invitations.

4. Plans, billing, and trials

• The Free plan is available without payment. Paid plans (Pro, Premium, and future tiers) are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
• Pro includes a 7-day free trial; you are not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time before then at no cost.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
• If you downgrade, features and limits of the lower plan apply at the start of the next billing period; your data is retained but features above the new plan's limits become read-only or inaccessible.
• We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply at your next renewal.

5. Your data

You own the data you enter. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Service (storing, processing, and displaying your data to you and to household or workspace members you authorize). Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to access other users' data, probing or disrupting our infrastructure, scraping the Service, reverse engineering, or using the Service for unlawful activity. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We may modify, add, or remove features. If we ever discontinue the Service, we will provide reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Connected Home Outfitters LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for financial decisions made based on information in the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service or request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

11. Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify active users by email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
